Easter Fun!

Spring Break means everyone is looking for something to do! Start your weekend with a night at the village. Then, there’s a couple of chances to check out a new hobby for the new month. Easter weekend means egg hunts, so I’ve included a list of those…and who’s up for an Easter Road trip-to the high seas?
 
 
First Fridays at the Village, Friday, March 3, 5-8pm
The first Friday of every month is th e time to unwind with other "grown-ups" after work.  Join your friends and neighbors for a night of art and artists demonstrations, food and drink samples, shopping, dining and salon specials, live music and more! Get details at www.thevillagetc.com
 

Canvas D’Vine at Boyne Highlands
Friday, April 4th, 6pm
Create one-of-a-kind works of art with step-by-step instruction from local artists while sampling unique wines. Painting experience not required.  Experience includes all painting supplies and instruction, complimentary tasting of select wines, and a $25 gift certificate to The Spa at the Inn at Bay Harbor .  Class lasts about 3 hours and is $45 per person. Open Studio Day at Sturgeon River Pottery
Saturday, April 5th
J oin Michigan-based artists as they conduct live demonstrations on pottery and tile making techniques. The event runs from 10am- 4pm and is free and open to the public. More info at sturgeonriver.com

Head to the Grand Rapids Public Museum for “Real Pirates”
This exhibit tells the story of the “Whydah”  a pirate ship that sank off the coast of Cape Cod nearly 300 years ago. The exhibition features treasure chests filled with coins from all over the world, including the ships bell, authentic coins that visitors can touch, pirate dress items, daily objects used aboard the ship and more.
